Should the person reject this great calling, and go back to their old sinful ways, they commit the 'unpardonable or unforgiveable' sin which has no other covering for. In effect they await their eternal fate - the 2nd death in the Lake of Fire:

The Christian called in their lifetimes (firstfruits) must always remember this is by God's grace - a one-time calling and receiving of God's Holy Spirit to guide them:
