A haiku in it's classic form would consist of three line, first and third have 5 syllables, the second line should have 7 syllables. Haiku's are normally concerned with nature, as such I doubt you'l find too many about Basketball. Clearly is is possible to write one in the haiku style, just unlikely.
"Morning dew glistens,
sparrow's song breaks the silence,
nature's symphony."
"Eagle soars above,
majestic in the sky blue,
freedom's pure embrace."
"Cherry blossoms fall,
nightingale sings in moon's light,
heart's serenade."
Swings the bat and runs
Quickly sprints to the bases
Then he scores a point
Birds fly everywhere
Even in the trees above
And the summer sun
this are some examples of some haiku poetry:clouds get by,the trees in the leaves dry out
I love summer days When big flies come in my house The sun is yellow
there are none since Haiku's are about Nature
