In no way can dimethicone be called 'organic'. That word is very ambiguous, meaning derived from natural sources, or meaning composed of carbon atoms, or meaning grown without use of synthetic compounds. NONE of these meanings apply to silicones.
Also, dimethicone is not a white powder, it is a clear viscous liquid.
Also, dimethicone is not abundant in nature - far from it.
The previous answer seems to have been supplied by someone with little knowledge of chemistry. Silicones do contain many silicon atoms, which are also common in silica - which occurs naturally as sand or grit, and which can be processed to make glass.
The words, silicon (an element), silica (the oxide of silcon) and silicone, do often cause confusion to people with no understanding of chemistry.
To summarise, dimethicone is a synthetic compound, one of a large range of silicones, and yes, it can be used on bodycare products!
In other words, dimethicone is simply- dime+thi= the shape of a cone. :P
