A squid eats other smaller fish and organisms like Krill, fish, and shrimp which helps to limit the number of them in that area so the krill, fish, and shrimp dont over po…pulate.
"Niche journalism" is exactly that: journalism in a certain specific area, a niche. Niche journalism allows journalists to focus on their target audience. You see niche journa…lism all over the Internet and television. A good example of niche journalism is cable TV's ESPN. ESPN generally covers sports -- not politics, not food, not decorating, not weather. The opposite of niche journalism would be something like CBS' Early Show, television journalism that covers a wide variety of topics from politics to weather to fashion; it is not restricted to one certain topic in journalism. What is the need for niche? Well, besides being a lucrative business, niche journalism offers its readers/viewers a place to go to learn about something they're interested in without having to weed through a bunch of stuff they could care less about. So, if one wants to find out the scores to last night's big game, they may flip the channel to ESPN instead of sitting through an hour of general news and information to wait for a few minutes of sports scores.
Niche picking means that we tend to do things we are naturally good at or enjoy
