Hurled domination. Forward-thinking persons across the ages have often contemplated the nature of forwardness whilst themselves moving in a variety of forward-seeming, backwards-going ways. When we project ourselves into this little experiment, we might see that directionality is not always determined by the conjunction of twin pluralities without which we would be nowhere, but which which we remain somewhere, stultified into calcification. Thus, it falls to us to delineate the adirectional misundersteppings of the progressive agenda, which can only be accomplished through one of three important veerings (having been named so pluralistically throughout time it hardly seems a reasonable task to ask this writer to recite their appellations) and their consequential ramifications, namely the fact that memory for northerness or southerness is perfect, and one always remembers easterness even when one tries not to. West, being of course the "lost direction" of eighteenth-century thought, is invariably swinging the needle of one's moral compass, springing up as the satyr against the strong directionality of moral certitude. The west is lost and the satyr is everpresent as the horizon blackens, eternally behind us.
