Righteousness by faith is the concept that without faith we would not be justified. When we have faith we considered righteous in the eyes of Christ. Romans 3:22-- This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.

How can the US have a better functioning legislature?

Laws are an indication, of a total Lack of FAITH. Any one who comprehends the Scriptures; Is Totally Aware of that! For the promise, that he should be heir to the world was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. For if they which are of the law be heir FAITH is made VOID, and the promise made of none effect. Because the law worketh wrath; For where no law is, there is no transgretion. [ROMANS 4:13-14-15.] What shall we say then? That the Gentiles which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of FAITH. But israel, which followed after the LAW of righteousness, hath not attained to the LAW of righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it NOT by FAITH, but as it were by the works of the LAW. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone: [ROMANS 9:30-31-32.] Without faith man can do nothing. A vote for government; is a vote to perpetuate failure. Israel failed, a thing I know; because the Bible tells me so! The did it for they practiced law; that which Creator, mutch abhore.

What was Martin Luthers most central doctrine?

The most important doctrine for Luther was the doctrine of justification - God's act of declaring a sinner righteous. Luther came to realise that a person is justified /put right with God by faith alone through God's grace. He began to teach that salvation or redemption is a gift of God's grace, attainable only through faith in Jesus as the Messiah. Luther wrote that Christians receive such righteousness entirely from outside themselves. Righteousness not only comes from Christ but actually is the righteousness of Christ, imputed to Christians through faith.

Why did martin Luther stress the central role of faith?

Luther was an avid student of the Bible and while studying the book of Romans Luther was convicted by the verse For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH." Romans 1:17 "At last meditating day and night, by the mercy of God, I ... began to understand that the righteousness of God is that through which the righteous live by a gift of God, namely by faith… Here I felt as if I were entirely born again and had entered paradise itself through the gates that had been flung open." -- Luther

The wisest of men do.Answer:He possessed a measure of "faith"... and "believed" and "obeyed" what God said to him."...Abram BELIEVED the LORD, and He credited it to him as righteousness." (Gen. 15:6 NIV)"By FAITH Abraham, when called to go to a place he would receive later as his inheritance, OBEYED and went, even though he did not know where he was going."
