∙ 13y agoBasically it means that a person in power or authority uses that power or authority to induce someone else to have sex with them or uses it to make that person feel uncomfortable in their presence due to sexual inuendo or actions. In other words you need to treat every female the way you would treat your daughter if she worked for you. Also, if you are in a position to promote or affect the pay of someone and have sex with that person (even consensual) that person could sue you for sexual harassement and probably win.

Or, to look at it another way, if the young woman in the next cubicle considers it to be sexual harassment, it is. The penalties and law suits for sexual harassment can cost millions of dollars, so employers can't take chances with it. If you are doing something that makes another person uncomfortable, for your worn protection, stop.
