Polycystic ovarian syndrome is the syndrome that is the most common endocrine disorder in women population. Only about 5-10 % of women get symptoms from age 12 to age 45, where they're being able to reproduce.

Many women can have Polycystic ovaries without any of the symptoms. This is known as Polycystic ovaries. When a woman has the cyst and some of the symptoms (excess body and facial hair, acne, infertility, irregular periods etc) this is known as Polycystic ovarian syndrome or PCOS.
