Hard to tell the age on these - there isn't a serial number chart I'm aware of and there's just no collector interest in these guns. Figure 1970's, probably. Value is whatever someone will pay for a shooter-grade single-shot 20ga. Probably in the neighborhood of $50-$80.

Stevens is owned by Savage, but manuals may not be available due to age. Savage Customer Service is (800) 370-0708. A parts diagram is available on line at the gunpartscorp website.
The Stevens model 72 series,of which the model 72L was included,was last produced in 1989.
I can't find a model 710 under either the Savage or Stevens listings in any of my reference books. The Model 710 is the Western Field Model. It crosses over to a Savage Model 110. My 710 was purchased at Wards about 1980.
