I was 5 years old in 1957 when my Dad helped me hold and aim his J C Higgins model 36 22cal rifle (which I own today). When I was about 12 years old I asked him when he got his rifle. He said his dad bought it for him when he graduated from high school in 1945. http://www.histandard.info/PDF/Sears%20Rifles.pdf

A Colt peacemaker .22 model with that serial number was made in 1975. About 36 years old.
You can go to www.gunpartscorp.com and find a lot of parts . I have a J.C. Higgins [Sears] Md 41 22calb. My dad bought me in 1967. I found some parts for it there. Another answer: I believe the model 36 was a semi-automatic rifle, not a bolt action. If you just need the exploded view e-mail me with your e-mail. I can scan it and send it to you.
The model 36 is a Marlin Model 80.
Marlin model 80
If manufactured prior to 1/1/1969 no serial number was required and if it was made later it must be clearly visible on the receiver. The Model 36 was made before serial numbes but the latest versions may have the assembly date code. http://www.histandard.info/PDF/Sears%20Rifles.pdf
