Okay, so this is a nonfiction book about the wrongful conviction of Dennis Fritz and Ron Williamson. They were wrongfully convicted of the rape and murder of Debra Sue Carter. Fritz was sentenced to life, and Williamson to death. After being exonerated, Williamson became schizophrenic and obsessing over the case. Glen Gore, (a man who had previously been tried, but the court obliviously dismissed) was later convicted and is still in prison today. Williamson passed away in 2004 from cirrhosis of the liver and Fritz works for the Innocence Project.
