Is Call of Duty modern warfare 2 the same as Call of Duty modern warfare?

Call of Duty modern warfare 2 is the sequel of call of duty modern warfare. so no they are not the same games.

umm well mw2 is the sequel to cod 4 and mw 2 has waaaaaaaay better graphics, and the story keeps going on and on.

MW 2 does have some better graphics. The biggest differences are the weapons, classes, and kill streaks. In COD 4 there were three pre-set kill streaks, UAV, sentry gunner, and harrier. In MW 2 there is a ton more kill streaks, which have to be unlocked.

Then there are weapon classes. COD 4 had weapon classes but only 5. In MW 2 every time you prestige you get another weapon class.

Weapons. Some are the same but alot are new. For example before you could only pistols and shotguns? as secondaries. In the new one you can have machine pistols, launchers, pistols, and shotguns.

There is also the addition of the riot shield which allows the person to block enemy bullets.

Well my personal opinion, I LOVE cod4, everything about it is great, there was really no problems (mabye martydom) but MW2 is just not the same, the online is messed up full of glitched matches on rust and nukeboosters. I have MW2, but i find myself going back to cod4 more and more.

The Call of Duty edition for the Nintendo Wii is Call of Duty Reflex Edition and it is not a Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare or a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 edition and is different from either game. It was released when the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was released in November 2009. Any new Modern Warfare versions for the Nintendo Wii should not be expected before the Forecasted November 2011 release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 ( AKA Call of Duty 8/ newest game in the series) It should be noted that since there was never a Call of Duty 5 they really can not use Call of Duty 6 in place of the name Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Once the games actual name has been made public it just shows your lack of knowledge of game's actual names

Call of Duty Black Ops was released for the Wii in November 2010 along with different version of the game for the Nintendo DS. Call of Duty Black Ops was also released worldwide on November 9 2010 for the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 and allowed it to shatter existing first day sales records.

Well, there is no CoD 6 for Wii yet (it might be out in December 2010).

No. Call of Duty: Black Ops is being made by Treyarch, or the people that made Call of Duty: World At war, And Call of Duties 1, 2 and 3. Infinity ward is making Modern Warfare 3.
