A park is a natural or semi-natural area for people to visit; it may or may not have trees or forests within it, and if entirely man-made, may not have a fully functioning ecosystem.

A national forest is managed by the Department of agriculture and the National Forest Service where a national park is managed by the department of the interior and the National Park Service.
