The 4S has the 1080p 30fps improved HD video recording, Bluetooth 4.0, UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA GSM/EDGE CDMA EV-DO Rev. A2 (mean it's a world phone), and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n
The Talk time is up to 8 hours on 3G Up to 14 hours on 2G (GSM) but the Standby time: Up to 200 hours when the 4 had up to 300 hours
so the inside has improved so it's hard to tell the difference but I recommend that maybe the iPhone 5 which should come out probably this year is better than both the 4 and the 4S

Why does att advertise the iPhone 4S as a 4G when it is actually 3G?
First of all, there is 2G (or EDGE), 3G, 4G, or 4G LTE. Many people just call 4G LTE 4G because regular 4G seems more like 3.5G. Keeping up? AT&T's 3G network is known as HSPA and their regular 4G network is known as HSPA+. Because the iPhone 4S supports HSPA+ but not LTE, it is a 4G phone, but not a 4G LTE (real 4G) phone. Luckily all this confusion is over now that the iPhone 5 supports LTE.
