The controversy regarding evolution is the debate about the validity of the scientific model sparked by the inability of various religious groupings to reconcile this scientific teaching with their religious views. This controversy is not a scientific one, but exists solely in the minds of those who would seek to suppress the teaching of scientific models that conflict with their beliefs.
Darwin's theory of evolution is very well supported by scientific evidence. It has been accepted as true, by most biologists. Some controversy does remain, however, on religious grounds. Whether you choose to accept this theory is up to you.
Evolution is a process, theories of evolution are theories which explain that process
Evolution does NOT involve creationism.Evolution is a testable and therefore provable explanation as to how the diversity of life on earth has happened.Creationism is a religious viewpoint and therefore a mater of faith.AnswerI agree with the above. Evolution does NOT involve Creationism. Evolution is a branch of biological science and thus rejects "supernatural" claims such as those of Creationism, does not need to consider them. Creationism, often hanging on Genesis, the first book of the Bible, predates scientific inquiry and the scientific method and so is thus rejected by science and thus evolutionary science. In the public spotlight, the so-called Evolution-Creation "controversy" and all the on-stage arguments and debates might make it seem as though Evolution and Creationism (and Intelligent Design) have a lot to do with one another, but I doubt Creationism gets much mention at all in scientific laboratories and scientific conferences (it can't because it hasn't got anything to say about the real world.)
It is called "evolution".
Spontaneous evolution is evolution that is not moderated by intentional beings and actions. Most evolution, in other words. Usually we call non-spontaneous evolution (ie. evolution that *is* moderated by intent): breeding.
Nevada is pretty evolution friendly when it comes to its science standards. Nevada is also one of the few states that doesn't have a big evolution-creation controversy.

Amongst the uneducated populous there is a debate over the validity of evolution. This is mostly due to evolution's conflict with religious ideas. However this controversy doesn't exist within the scientific community, it is generally agreed upon due to the observation of evolution (the flu changes every year and requires a new vaccine as a result), the fossil record and its experimental track record. Many have suggested faults in the theory. Such as irreducible complexity, age of the universe being too small and the same design, same designer argument.AnswerCreation and evolution are not mutually exclusive ideas for me. I find Evolution to be adaptations of Creations.
Because it features evolution, which is something many religions don't agree with.

Evolution, the change in allele frequency over time in a population of organisms, always goes on. Speciation, on the other hand, does not seem to be happening in man, but there is some controversy there. Stabilizing selection is possibly what humans are being subjected to.
