I think you are referring to the Universal OBD (or OBD2) test port. This is
the plug under the dash that you plug the OBD code tester into.
It may also be referred to as the 16-Pin Data Link Connector (DLC).

Just get a test light and connect it to the positive terminal of the battery and touch the point of the test light to each glow plug terminal. If the light lights up the glow plug is good if not it is bad. You can replace the one or more that are bad or replace them all since they may not be too far behind.

The most likely causes are either a bad plug or bad wire. Take the electrical circuit apart one by one and work backward from the plug. Pull the spark plug boot off the plug and push a test light into where the plug head would be, making sure to have the tip against the metal in the boot's clip. Spin the engine, but don't start it. You're just looking for spark. If the test light doesn't light, you have no spark to the plug. Next, take the plug wire off the distributor and put the tip of the test light against the metal on the distributor cap where the wire was connected and spin the engine again. If the light still doesn't light, then it is most likely the distributor cap. If it does light up, then you have a bad plug wire. or it may be your distributor module.

check for injector pulse on all 6-inj plug ins with test light. light should flash when engine is running. If not, use test light to check for ground at suspect inj plug ins. Also dble check for spark at all coil towers, and spark plug both. You have to check the back plugs from underneath the vehicle. Verify plug wires hooked up in correct order.
