Santa Clara University is ranked among Master's level universities, so its not included in the national rankings. Its ranked #2 among Master's universities on the West Coast. Trinity University, for some reason, has been ranked #1 for at least 15 years. SCU has strong business, law, and enginerring programs... all ranked high nationally. Trinity does has no ranked graduate programs, once again, I'm still questioning why the school is ranked above SCU. SCU has completed various new buildings, including a huge library and business school.

In California, SCU is regarded as one of the best schools for its size and level. Most people think that SCU offers a better education than Berkeley and Stanford, but those school just have bigger names--which of course attracts the most students. Certainly, its well known that the students at SCU experience a much more serious and global academic experience, due to its Jesuit heritage.
