The past participle of 'do' is done.

The past participle of a verb is used to form the 'perfect' tenses.

The past participle of regular verbs is formed by adding -ed.

But 'to do' is an irregular verb.

The past participle of 'do' is done.

Examples:

  • Your son has done well in his exams. PRESENT PERFECT
  • The lawyer said that his client had done what any reasonable man would have done in those circumstances. PAST PERFECT
  • I suggest you call about 8 o'clock. By then Musah will have done all his chores. FUTURE PERFECT
