Best Answer

Students who minor, look to enhance their existing program of study, while promoting some diversification to become more well rounded and more marketable. Others may have other reasons for taking a minor. For example, I have a cousin who intended to go through law school. Because he wanted to specialize in corporate law he took business as his major. However, he minored in philosophy because he felt it would improve his critical thinking skills and give him new ways of thinking when presenting a case. It worked out very well for him. So, while it is not a requirement to minor, I would not dismiss it either. Best wishes!!
