Not absolutely sure....was wondering the same thing as I happen to have a grandmother who had 21 children herself.....all single births, no multiples!!!
Well The Duggar family has 19 children.
The most children ever born to any one woman was 69 children in 17th century Russia - the first wife of Feodor Vassilyev gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets and four sets of quadruplets. She also holds the world record for giving birth to the most sets of twins and sets of quadruplets.
My great grandfather Eugenio and great grandmother Magdalena had 22 children. I have heard stories from my 18 Aunties that they remember waking up and there would be a new addition to the family every morning for many years and that even when my great grandmother was pregnant my oldest Aunties were pregnant at the same time.
