Answer . \nYou can order a wiring diagram from the dealer, I believe it is about $50- $60, there is no beter wiring diagram than a factory diagram
There are two clips on each side of the net. In the trunk itself, there are two small loops on which you can attach the net clips. They are right below the rear spearkers.
Answer . 2008 Scion Xb does not have a factory sunroof or moonroof option. There after -market options from third-party suppliers like Webasto and Inalfa. Some Toyota dealers will even arrange for installation, but always check how this type of modification might affect your warranty. . The o…nly one come with sunroof is the xb 2008 release series 5 gold rush and they make only 1,500 in the US (MORE)
It is probably a burned thermal switch. I had the same thing on my car and had to replace the thermal switch
Some cars are not designed with this upgrade. This is one of them. You can have a sunroof installed for around one thousand dollarsbut they often leak.
It can mean lots of things. Check your gas cap and make sure it isn't loose. If it is, then tighten it and drive normally for a day or two and it should turn off. If your gas cap is tight you have two options. My recommendation is to take it to Autozone first and have them do a code scan for free…. Write down the codes that are causing the lights and look them up. There are some well known codes ("evap" code means gas cap is loose/leaking) and go from there. If the problem seems to be serious then it is time to take it to a mechanic and get a engine diagnostic for $90 (dealer price). There are some known problems with the VVT system that requires removing the camshaft ($$$). I really hope it is a loose gas cap. (MORE)

Well, that's quite the vague question. If you have a "Universal" kit, than the shop you take it to will have to align and drill holes, possibly roll your fenders as well as the possibility of having to weld the hinge onto your vehicle. At the labour costs of $65/hour+, you're looking at upwards of $…600 (at the least) for a good job!. Whereas a "bolt on" kit (from a reputable company), will take much less time because there is no welding or aligning to make sure they drill the holes perfectly for your vehicle! They should only have to roll the fenders and make sure the hinge is perfectly flat against your vehicle (same with the Universal kit). This should only take Max 4 hours to do... so anywhere around the $250 mark... or so.. All just estimates and personal experience.... DON'T go with universal.. IMO. Good luck!! (MORE)
It doesn't have one. What it does have is a fuel strainer which is in the fuel tank with the pump. Not the best idea I would think, but that is all it has.
I'm currrently driving with 205 and have had no issues...205/40R17. You can call The Tire Rack and they will tell you for free. The number is in the related link, below.
The 2005 Scion xB takes 20" wiper blades on both sides front. See sources and related links below for more information. Since there are over 22 different wiper arm attachments, do not buy wipers just by length only - be sure to lookup exact wiper blade part numbers by vehicle make, model and year fo…r the brand wiper you decide to purchase. This ensures correct length AND correct attachment. (MORE)
In a 06 scion xb after mounting new rear brake shoes the wheelcylinder will not compress to alow the drum to go back on. Am Imissing some procedure.
I'm sure it's possible. Is it going to be worth it, probably not. Will people think much of it, probably not. They are called 'lambo' doors for a reason.
These are check engine codes for a 2005 Scion XB. P0441, P0442, P0446. How do I fix these codes.
IF you can find the rear wheel bearings, you can do the job yourself pretty easily. Only four bolts hold the rear wheel bearings in on each hub. I had to search and finally found some bearings for about 150 dollars apiece on eBay. A number of scumbag online sites said they had the parts in stock …(even when I called and spoke to a human), only to tell me a few days later, after they had my money, the parts were not in stock. But I digress. Jacked up the car, removed the rear wheel and drum. You crawl around underneath, remove the ABS sensor, and use a 14 or 13mm socket on an extension to break the bolts loose. Once removed, the bearings slide outward. Replace with new bearings, torque to 46ft lbs, and reinstall the ABS sensor wire. Remount the drum and wheels. Total time to change them was about an hour. Last step is you want to take the car in to have the wheels aligned, and you're good to go. (MORE)
i own a 2005 scion xb and by far one of the best cars ive owned and absolutley no problems since ive owned for four years
you remove the tire (duh). then remove the caliber, i found it easiest to remove the caliber and bracket as one unit. their are two bolt holes on the face of the rotor. Oddly enough they are 5/16 sae course thread bolt holes. i simply screwed two bolts into the holes and evenly tightened them till t…he rotor popped off its little tappered seat... and there you go one 2005 scion xb rotor removed....reapeat for the other side (MORE)
Two bolts on the alternator, one on top 12mm in the slotted hole, one on bottom of the alternator being a 14mm (just loosen both of them). The one on the bottom is the pivot point. Rotating the alternator will adjust the tension on the serpentine belt. Leave about 1/2" play in the belt. If it squeal…s later may need a bit more tension. Don't overtighten. Notice the arm at the top attached to the alternator (the arm with the slotted hole) has a cast bolt midway on the face toward the engine. This makes a nice leverage point for sticking a screwdriver in between this bolt and the alternator (holding srewdriver vertically and pushing forward) for tightening. (MORE)
i drove mine which is bone stock next to my friends RSX-type s down the road and it topped out at 90 M.P.H
The 2008-2010 Scion xB takes 22" drivers side and 20" passenger side replacement windshield wiper blades and a special 14" rear wiper blade. The 2004-2006 Scion xB takes 20" replacement windshield wiper blades on both sides front. See sources and related links below for more information. Since there… are over 22 different wiper arm attachments, do not buy wipers just by length only - be sure to lookup exact wiper blade part numbers by vehicle make, model and year for the brand wiper you decide to purchase. Regardless of what type your vehicle is, it is extremely difficult to replace a serpentine belt w/o a serpentine untensioner tool. This is a thin, long handle with a socket on the end that sticks out at 90 degrees of the handle. The socket slips onto the bolt-head of the tension-er pulley. Once the …serpentine belt is threaded around all the other pulleys you put the untensioner tool on the tension-er pulley bolt and pull (or push) to achieve slack in the serpentine belt and slip it on the tension-er pulley. Okay... I am not a mechanic, but my '05 xB threw these codes. Without getting into too many specifics, the p0442 is fuel evap system, small leak. This is the Scion "gas cap" code. I got this periodically until I replaced my gas cap. Didn't see the code again for about 600 miles. Then one day it thre…w p0441, p0442, & p0446 together. When I searched for answers online, one mechanic on an xB forum asked if an owner with the same issue had 'topped-off' the gas tank shortly before the lights came on. Sure enough, I had forced about a dollar's worth into the tank at the pump the day it threw those codes. This mechanic said not to do this. In addition, the original gas cap on my Scion says that if the cap is not replaced properly during regular fueling, a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) my illuminate! This is right on the gas cap! Basically, I disconnected the positive terminal of my battery and left it off for about 30 minutes, reconnected the battery, and the lights disappeared. A local mechanic told me to try this. If there is really an issue, the lights will be back. I bought a cheap OBD II code reader from O'Reilly Auto Parts store to check the computer (contrary to some nervous and/or bogus mechanics, everyone should have one of these nowadays), and the codes haven't come back in over 1500 miles (I drive a lot)!!! Rant: Many mechanics complain about owners attempting to educate themselves about their cars. Don't trust a mechanic with this kind of attitude. Yes, a person with a little knowledge can be a pain in the backside to those who are pros, but consider that in Europe, there are certain repairs an operator must be able to perform successfully just to get a regular license! The OBD II code system does not diagnose problems, it simply narrows the areas a mechanic needs to check to solve the problem. That said, I read a lot of rubbish online from some mechanics admonishing the uninformed not to "throw parts at the problem," but this is exactly what many dealerships and mechanics do, and Toyota does not help. This kind of self-serving statement serves only to scare do-it-yourselfers from doing it themselves. I've read that some folks have replaced their entire fuel systems because of these same 3 codes by dealerships and other "reputable" shops. How much did that cost? Who pays that cost? Because of 1 honest, experienced Scion mechanic, I fixed the car myself for NOTHING! (MORE)
It must have a timing CHAIN ( The Gates website does not list a timing belt for the 1.5 liter , 4 cylinder engine in a 2005 Scion XB )
This is a dealer-only wiper blade. At this time there are no aftermarkets available. The dealer will know what you need.
cost me 260 for the alternator and the belt (220 and 40), and 190for the labor.
The check engine light is on because there is a problem with the emissions system. Have ECU scanned with OBD 2 scan tool. This will retrieve the code set by the computer. This code will tell you what part is being effected. Not necessarily the defective part. Once the problem is repaired you can res…et the light with the scanner or it will reset itself after a few driving cycles. (MORE)
