It depends on it's condition. I have one as well that I inherited. It has signs that it was played out alot. The appraisal came in at $3200. It plays great and only has wear to the finish. But if you have one that's in excellent condition you could get anywhere from $5000-$7500. The R-18 wasn't a high end Martin in it's time.

One cannot give the value without a thorough evaluation of the guitar. I have a friend who has a Martin guitar from the period 1850-1870 (estimated at the Martin factory). Martin did not estimate its value, but an independent estimate put the value in the $5-7K range. To the right collector, this guitar might be worth much more.
