It may be authentic but it's not from 1776. Please turn the bill over and look at the printing date on the front. You'll see that the bill was printed in 1976. They were issued to mark the country's Bicentennial.
The image on the back of the bill is taken from Trumbull's famous painting, The Signing of the Declaration of Independence, which of course _did_ happen in 1776.
