The Magdeburg hemispheres, around 50 cm (20 inches) in diameter, were designed to demonstrate the vacuum pump that von Guericke had invented. One of them had a tube connection to attach the pump, with a valve to close it off. When the air was sucked out from inside the hemispheres, and the valve was closed, the hose from the pump could be detached, and they were held firmly together by the air pressure of the surrounding atmosphere.
Magdeburg hemispheres are kept together by atmospheric pressure. When the air is removed from inside the hemispheres, the external atmospheric pressure pushes them together, creating a vacuum seal that holds them in place until the pressure is equalized.
The two hemispheres of the cerebrum are separated by a structure called the corpus callosum. This dense band of nerve fibers allows communication between the left and right hemispheres of the brain, enabling them to coordinate and work together on various cognitive tasks.
Hemispheres are halves of the Earth divided by the equator (Northern and Southern Hemispheres) or by the prime meridian (Eastern and Western Hemispheres). They are used to describe regions or locations on the Earth's surface.
Iraq is located in both the Northern and Eastern Hemispheres.
Dallas is located in both the Northern and Western hemispheres.
The hemispheres of Earth are divided by the Equator into Northern and Southern Hemispheres, and by the Prime Meridian and the 180th meridian into Eastern and Western Hemispheres.
In terms of the Earth, the hemispheres act in a way to divide the planet into two equal halves. The two hemispheres are joined together by a line called the Equator.

Strong force keeps particles in a nucleus together.
Gravity keeps the gasses together. It is the same on Earth; the gravity of Earth keeps our atmosphere together.

The Prime Meridian is the line that divides the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. It passes through Greenwich, England, and is designated at 0 degrees longitude. Locations to the east of the Prime Meridian are considered part of the Eastern Hemisphere, while locations to the west are part of the Western Hemisphere.
Gravity keeps the planets together
Gravity keeps things together here on Earth. It keeps the Earth together in the first place, and it keeps us on Earth. It keeps the Earth in orbit around the Sun, and it keeps the Moon in orbit around Earth.
"Hand Cuffs" is the object that keeps a prisoners hand joined together.
The extracellular matrix is the sticky coating on the outside of cells that keeps them joined together.
