Best Answer

They need LOTS of time to run and maybe a companion to play with and chase sometimes. Just maybe have a neighbors dog come over and maybe they can play doggie tag together or something.

Does a Siberian husky need a lot of exercise?

A Siberian Husky should get at least one hour of HARD running every day. A tired dog is a calm and happy dog, that wont rip up your house and yard, which Huskies have a habit of doing when they aren't given enough exercise or mental stimulation. A Husky will be a great dog for you if you like distance running, cycling, or cross-country skiing. If that's not your style, your Husky will be restless, and you won't meet your dog's exercise requirements. It's never a good idea to get an active dog, hoping to get active oneself. Best to find a dog that suits your activity level.

How many hours of exercise does a Siberian husky need?

Young healthy dogs should get 45 minutes to an hour of arobic exercise every day. During warm weather, this should be done early in the morning, before it gets hot. If you live in a warm climate, a husky isn't the best idea. Siberian Huskies MUST have regular opportunities to vent their energy. Otherwise they will become rambunctious and bored -- which they usually express by howling and destructive chewing.

Your Siberian husky swallow a plastic fish food container will it pass or does it need to be taken out?

Should a Siberian Husky be a first time pet?

No, a Siberian husky shouldn't be a first time pet, only experienced people who has experience with highly active dogs. In this case Siberian huskies are very highly active dogs and need alot of caring, which isn't good for a first pet since they have too many requirements and are very stubborn and can be easily destructive.

What is the Diet of a Siberian Husky?

The diet for a Siberian Husky would be typical of any domestic dog. The exception to that would be if you are working the dog in which case they need to be fed a high protein, high fat diet in order to keep their weight on. If they are not working this type of diet would cause them to become over weight very quickly. As with humans the more they work and run the more they need to eat.

How much area does a Siberian husky needs?

Siberian Huskies need a lot of exercise and room since they are born to run and work. If they are couped up in a small area for to long by themselves they can become destructive as in eating walls, carpets, furniture etc. Huskies are also escape artists they can jump over low fences and dig under them as well. and once a husky gets out they will just keep on running. If you are going to keep a husky in the backyard make sure it is Farley large and has plenty of shade. I would also recommend having high fences that go into the ground. If you are going to keep a husky inside I would recommend a crate or get it a companion as in another dog. Try to visit your husky on a lunch brake or something because they hate being alone they are social dogs that need attention and love.
