The penny will be clean, but, the lemon juice ruins the color and makes it look counterfeit. If it is old, and you want it restored, take it to a professional, they can remove almost anything.

well if this was for a science experiment then i would say use many different juices such as apple, orange, lemon, lime, also these two are not juices but are good for the experiment vinegar and salt , and pickle juice
Granny smith apples are the best for juicing. They produce the most juice, and it tastes the best. The juice is a bit clear, and is great for making applesauce as well.
