The primary languages of Egypt are….. Egyptian Arabic 68%, Saudi Arabic 29%, Bedawi Arabic 1.2%, Libyan Arabic 0.46%, Domari 0.36%, Nobiin 0.31%, Kenuzi Dongola 0.15%, Greek 0.065%, I'm sure there are Egyptians who speak French, but it would be a smaller percentage than all of those.

It was their second language. The main language is Arabic. Algeria is a former French colony (from 1830 to 1962) and French was the mandatory language in schools. It is still widely taught as Algeria still has strong ties with France (96% of the expatriated Algerians live in France).

The official language of the Republic is Modern Standard Arabic.[2] The spoken languages are: Egyptian Arabic (68%), Sa'idi Arabic (29%), Eastern Egyptian Bedawi Arabic (1.6%), Sudanese Arabic (0.6%), Domari (0.3%), Nobiin (0.3%), Beja (0.1%), Siwi and others. Additionally, Greek, Armenian and Italian are the main languages of immigrants. In Alexandria in the 19th century there was a large community of Italian Egyptians and Italian was the "lingua franca" of the city.

The main taught foreign languages in schools are English, French, German and sometimes Italian.
