Hi

The pulmonary veins are responsible for carrying the oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left auricle. This blood is further pumps to the left ventricle that pumps the blood to the entire body with the help of aorta.

What vessel is the blood pumped from the left ventricle?

Blood is pumped by both the left and right ventricles. Blood pumped by the right ventricle is to the lungs only while the left ventricle pumps to the rest of the body. This is why the walls of the left ventricle are significantly thicker than the walls of the right.

Where does the aorta lead to?

Dorsal aorta carries oxygenated blood from the lungs to the tissues, while the ventral aorta carries impure blood (rich in carbon dioxide) from the heart to the lungs.

The largest blood vessel in the body?

The aorta is the largest artery in the body, while the venae cava are (collectively) the largest veins in the body.

Difference between aorta and vena cava?

aorta carries oxygenated blood away from the heart to the whole body while vena cava carries de-oxygenated blood from the body to the heart

What is largest artery in the pulmonary circulation?

aorta is main artery connection from the right ventricle which pump blood oxygen-rich through it and aorta will deleiver it to other body parts through its branches

Which phase in cardiac cycle is systolic pressure?

Blood flows into the relaxed atria while the ventricles contract. <rephrased> The ventricles contract, carrying blood into the aorta, and blood flows into the relaxed atria.

How does The appearance of the pulmonary artery compare with that of the aorta?

Both of them are arteries. Pulmonary artery supplies blood to lungs whereas Aorta supplies blood to all other parts of the body. Both of them are the outlets of the heart. Pulmonary artery is a part of pulmonary circulation while Aorta is a part of systemic circulation.

Is a aorta a blood vessel?

The aorta is the largest artery in the human body. It is usually medically divided by anatomical division or by direction of blood flow. Thus, there is the abdominal aorta or the ascending aorta, which can refer to the same artery.

Does your blood flow clockwise?

Tethnically neither direction. All oxygenated blood goes from the lungs back to the Heart via the Pulmonary vein, where it gets pumped to the body, while the deoxygenated blood goes into the heart via the Vena Cava to be Pumped to the lungs for gas exchange. :)

What are the stuctural difference between aorta and vena cava?

The vena cava has a thinner wall and a wider lumen than the aorta because of the lower blood pressures it has to deal with.

What lower chambers of the heart pump out blood of the organ?

The left ventricle. Blood from the body comes into the right atrium goes into the right ventricle and is then pumped to the lung comes back to the left atrium and then left ventricle to the aorta to the body.

Where does the left chamber send blood?

The left atrium sends blood into the left ventricle, while the left ventricle pumps blood to the rest of your body (everywhere except the lungs) via the aorta.
