Carbohydrates, sugars, and vitamins
Calories are a unit of measure.
Food a contains 150 calories in three forth serving. That makes 200 calories per serving. Food B contains 250 calories per two third serving. That makes 375 calories per serving. So food A has got less calories per unit serving as compared to food B.
If one serving contains 200 calories, then there should be 200 calories per serving...
Read the heading: Calories per serve (oh yes, it's there)
There are 4 Calories per every gram of sugar. So, look on the food label and just see how many grams there are per serving and then multiply that by 4.
Depends on the brand, however you should know that companies can put "0 calories" on a food label if there is less the 5 calories per serving.Example:It there are 4 calories per serving on the food label and 200 servings for an 8oz bottle, the bottle of butter spray would have 800 total calories even though it would be shown having "0 calories".
I wouldn't say there are "hidden calories" per se, but it's important to look at serving size. The calorie count on the label is for one "serving size," but for example, in a bottle of soda there are usually 2.5 servings in a bottle. So the calories you are getting if you drink the whole soda are actually 2.5 times the number on the label.
when you eata food look on the label and read the calories per serving, then check the serving size, and see how many parts of a serving you ate, and calculate how many calories you have eaten do that for all the foods you eat and you will know how many calories you ate that day!
