Although some tapes are not admissible in a court of law a lawyer can decide that if need be. A 'Cease and Desist Order' is generally not worth the paper it is written on but this still leaves a record of the person mentioned who is stalking you both and you should also report it to the police. Unfortunately, unless the ex boyfriend physically harms you or your girlfriend there is not much the police can do about about it, but again, it is on report. Try staying clear of him as much as possible and be sure your girlfriend is not keeping in some sort of contact with him. She should ignore phone calls; messages on Facebook, etc. or emails. By answering them this only confirms in her ex boyfriend's mind that she is still interested in him. It is important that your girlfriend walks with one or more girls (or male friends) if she is in school or, if she goes out shopping not to go alone. Try to stay in a group. It is also important that you are very aware of your surroundings because in this person's mind you are keeping him from being with his ex girlfriend.

The next time you see him and he tries to cause problem; if he texts your girlfriend and is bothering her; phones her and annoys or threatens her or he follows the two or you or follows either of you separately then this is the time to report her ex boyfriend to the police. Keep copies of any phone calls or text messages to give to the police. This is not a game and do not mistake this type of stalking as just a jealous boyfriend as it could end up in a tragedy and the police should be notified as well as both your parents.
