- Good manners generally are started by the parents raising their children although good parents can have what sometimes is called 'a black sheep' of the family who is completely different from the other siblings. Your brother is selfish; feels that your time is not as important as his and he probably feels since you are just siblings you will put up with it. Good communication skills are a must in any relationship so sit down with your brother and in a calm manner tell him you are not going to ask him out again because he has no respect for your time. If he promises to better himself and does not then don't bother to plan anything else with him and let him come to you.
