buy a window, thru the wall, or portable unit. you can size it wherever you buy it. they will have a chart of some sort to size it for you.
its usually about 20 btu's per square foot
about 12,000
4-5 tons
Will a 40,000 btu furnace be enough to heat my 1375 square foot middle unit town house.
The average resident of Rhode Island spends approximately $1400 per year to heat their home. How much you will pay to heat a 435 square foot house will depend on how warm you like your home as well as how well insulated the house is.
Florida or Maine?
Rule of thumb is 1.5 tons per 1000 square feet of home.
2.0 ton or 2.5 ton
A commonly used formula is 600-650 square feet per ton. So it would be recommended to use a 2-ton heat pump for a 1300 square foot home. However, other variables are often considered, too, such as the age of the house.
A 12,000 BTU heater is needed for a 1,400 square foot area. BTU or British Thermal Unit is a unit of measure commonly used for heating and cooling.

Sorry, but there are too many variables in your question to give a simple answer. It will vary based on what material you use to build the house, where you build it, one story, 2 story, split level, basement, what sort of heat and A/C, how many bathrooms, what sort of floors, etc. By the way, that is a VERY large house.
