It depends on why she is angry and your relationship with here and her personality. Most of the time a heart felt "sorry" (with some over word's).
If its something bigger than just a small bump. It all comes down to how well you know the "girl". Going on your knees doesn't work.
The best way is to just talk to here and tell her "how bad you feel about it" and sound as sorry as you can when doing so and don't say sorry more than twice. It makes it look like you are just saying it for the sake of saying it.
Making it look like you are about to cry helps, just don't cry for real. It puts her off and stops her from listening. But certain times it may work better. It comes down to how well you know her.
