A Colle's fracture is a fracture of the distal radius.
The radius is one of the two bones of the forearm (the other is the ulna). The radius is the bone that begins at the outside ("lateral" side) of the elbow and ends at the wrist joint, on the "thumb" side of the wrist.
"Distal" means that the fracture occurs at the part of the radius that is relatively further from the center of the body, i.e. at the wrist. So in plain English, a Colle's fracture is a broken bone near the wrist, on the "thumb" side.
