The recommended oil is conventional 5W30 oil for this vehicle. You can use 10W30, but 5W30 is recommended and is considered an "energy conserving oil" which may give you sligh…tly better fuel economy (1% to 2%). You can also use full synthetic 5W30, but it is not necessary and is more expensive, but can go longer between changes, so it's a trade-off. Synthetic does reduce friction slightly, so may increase fuel economy over using conventional oil. Usually that is a 5% to 10% improvement. However, if the car has any oil leaks, switching to synthetic will tend to make them worse. This is due to the difference in molecular structure between petroleum based oil and synthetic oil. So you have a choice, but if you use 5W30 conventional oil and change it every 5000 miles, you will be following the manufacturer's recommendations and should have no problems.
It is on the front of the crankshaft, under the timing components.
Any good quality API certified 5w30 should fill the bill. Be careful though the 2.7 motors are sensitive to sludge build up, just stay on top of your oil changes and you shoul…d be ok. I myself prefer a synthetic oil, its hard to argue their great benefits
$2400 _______________________________________________________________ It depends on which engine you have and in what geographic area your vehicle is located. For a 2.4L engin…e in the Middle Tennessee Area, the part runs $231 (incl. tax) at Autozone and the labor around $700 at an independent shop to $900 at a dealer. (Of course the dealer would charge more for the OEM part also.) So if you have the 4 cyl., you could get it done for under $1000 here.
You need a GM 75 series side post battery
