There are not a lot of "natural" ways to lessen withdrawls from opiates. Plenty of water, because your body will be flushing itself out. Vitamin C and B to help with your fatigue. Aspirin will help with muscle aches. You have to treat it like the flu. Lots of fluids and easy to digest foods, since you will feel like throwing everything up. I've looked everywhere for some kind of natural detox regimen. The most useful information I can give is what I have learned going through it myself. If you can get any muscle relaxers, anti-anxiety, or sleeping pills I recommend stocking up. Don't mix different medications and always allow plenty of time for the benzodiazapines to work. I know you will take something and sit there suffering thinking you need to take more, but too much will make you feel worse.
Really the only pain free way to get through withdrawls is to taper off with an opiate, which I know is difficult, or get a hold of some suboxone. You can't just go to any doctor for the suboxone though, and once it's prescribed to you, it's in your file forever. Be strong. It's probably one of the hardest things you will do in your entire life, but if you can put up with just a little of the sick feeling for a while you can lower your tolerance and eventually stop. It's worth it.
Detoxification isn't a really good option. A better solution would be to go vegetarian as you would be getting all your needed vitamins and nutrients.
Wheatgrass
gradually but completely withdrawing from alcohol or drugs :)
Don't take xanax and opiates.
Ask your doctor.
There are many kinds of vitamins and I don't what you are preferring. I think the best place to buy is at the drugstores or hospitals. Because they have authorized vitamins there.
Quinine has no effect on Methadone detoxification.
gradual and complete withdrawal from a drugunder medical supervision.
Detoxification is the process of removing toxins from the body.
Yes, Suboxone (buprenorphine) has been successfully used as a detoxification protocol to wean patients from opiate usage while minimizing withdrawal symptoms. Its molecules have a similar affinity for the same receptors as opiates but cause a less strong addictive potential, thus blocking the opiates and down-regulating the receptors for withdrawal. It may be used alone, or in combination with benzodiazepines (as Ativan, Xanax) or clonidine.
Prenatal vitamins. My hair (and nails) grew out of control when I was on them!
It really depends exactly what vitamins you need. Food with natural vitamins is the best way to go. If you take too much of a vitamin supplement it can actually hurt you. Almost all food has vitamins but vegetables and fruit are packed with them.
