But Warhol kept on working on his art, which in the end, people accepted it and supported it. ∙ 12y agoExpressing might be the wrong word, but the answer is Nothingness....and vapid culture...he was mocking the shallow bits of culture by recreating it and elevating it to the level of the emotional "high art" of the Ab-ex's. This is a generalization, he was very complex and his work's many layers will be picked apart for ages to come, but he essentially was interested in art as a means of advertising persona and celebrity.
