How many words are in 90 minutes in heaven?

The book 90 minutes in heaven have approximately 100,000 words which is all right for the book. This is because the book only explains and talks of a story of the Baptist Minister Don PiperÕs death and his appearance again after the 90 min.

Is 90 minutes in heaven a fiction or non fiction?

Although Don Piper claims this is a "true" story, when the book first came out, our church book group considered reading it. At that time, several websites contained testimony from people who said Don Piper was never as injured as he said, was not even unconscious when taken into the hospital, and there was never any staff who thought he had died. Today, the web has been scoured clean of these pages, which is slightly disturbing. Second, no human being can survive 90 minutes of stopped heart and/or breathing without severe brain damage. So since this book, Don Piper has explained how this "miracle" occurred. Third, several people who have heard Don Piper speak have pointed out how surprised they are to hear him describe God on a throne, which he claims t have seen in heaven. Yet in the book, he specifically writes that he did not see God in heaven, since he only saw the outskirts. Fourth, this is not a Christian version of heaven. It sounds more like the heaven the pagan Plato described. According to 1 Corinthians 15, Hebrews 11-12, and (very importantly) Revelation, the Kingdom of Heaven is realized when God renews the heavens and the earth, not in some far-away place above the clouds. The far-away place is found in Plato's writings, and Plato's religion died out over one thousand years ago. According to every Bible pronouncement - including the words of Jesus - people will "sleep" until the final judgment, then they can either enter Heaven or not, based on the outcome of that judgment. There is no person-by-person "turnstile" that allows individuals to go to some pagan heaven in the Christian Bible. So one can either believe the accounts by Don Piper and Todd Burpo (where dead people receive wings, like in Saturday morning cartoons!), and be a pagan, or one can reject their false accounts and be Christian. But you can't do both.

How do you know you have a purpose?

* Read, The Purpose Driven Life book. * Read 90 Minutes in Heaven, by Don Piper. == == * If you are a Christian you know that you have a purpose in a number of ways - firstly because God has created us we are here as His creatures to glorify Him. Secondly, if we are 'born again' we are born to the realization of that new purpose of glorifying Him and of serving Jesus Christ according to His direction. The Holy Spirit fixes this purpose firmly and joyfully in those who believe.
