When Alice and Jasper met, it was at the time when Jasper had gone away from his 'family'. Jasper was in a cafe and Alice spotted him while walking and as soon as Jasper saw her, She took his hand and he knew this is what he was looking for. After, Alice told him why she was there and how she can see the future, meeting him was a part of it and suddenly they end up going to where the Cullens are and takes over Edwards room. . .mainly because his room had the better view.
