Nicolas II was murdered at the Impatiev house in Yekaterinburg Russia on July 17, 1918. His remains and those of his wife three of his four daughters and some of his servents were buried in a pit outside of Yekaterinburg until 1991. After DNA testing was done on them the Royal family was buried at the Kremlin.
Nicolas II became Czar after the death of his father in 1894.
