The life of a Pharaoh was enviable. They were well fed and had long, luxurious clothes. They also were rich and considered a god-child. A peasant's life was full of hard work and little pay. A slave harvested papyrus to make paper, a farmer did that, plus harvested crops. A scribe was a writer. They had good reputations since it was hard to do back then. Priests were honored and could usually afford things of higher quality.
Everyday Peasants wore simple garments made of rough cloths. They were white and uncomfortable. Young children often wore no clothes. A pharaoh was clothed comfortably with beautiful robes and jewels. The pharaoh's child always had splendid clothes and jewelery.
