They didnt necisarrily want to start ice cream. The story that has been told was that ben and Jerry have been best friends, and they were wanting to build a restaurant and on the menu the most popular dessert choice was they're strawberry I've cream, in fact the dessert brought more buisness then the food so the figured, if we can make one good flavor of ice cream. Why not make a bunch! So they did and the ice cream chain had the same Name as the resturaunt! Did that answer your question?(: please leave feedback
