In some sort Galileo was not important to the church,

but many people learned from him very much the planets

rotate around the sun. incredible am I correct?

He taught us so very much and thanks to him some of

us are out stargazing with our telescopes.

Galileo had a few failures. Though he was ahead of his time, but some of his theories were completely wrong. For instance, he believed that comets were atmospheric disturbances.

Galileo refused to believe the tides were caused by the moon, instead, he thought they were made by the rotation of the earth... he was wrong.
