What were the cost and benefits of the German invasion in Namibia?

The cost was the great loss of life among the aboriginal community of Namibia during the colonial wars waged there to subjucate the native peoples to German rule. The benefit the colony had for Germany can't be determined as it remained their colony for too short a period for it to be properly prosperous. Up to the First World War Germany's colonies were becoming quite profitable. The greatest benefit Namibia had for Germany was that it provided lebensraum (living space) for the German people, Germany being then overpopulated and with no other territory for its people to settle in other than its European territory. Like the Fench, British, Portuguese and Spanish had acquired vast territories which they have settled and thus have established their languages and culture internatioinally, so Germany also had the desire to create a German culture abroad and their colonies were they only available means by which to accomplish such a task. When the German settlers were deported from the colonies their hard work to create an international German communiy and culture like that of France, Britain, Spain and Portugal today, came to nothing.
