A hole
Hello Amy. Your car sounds a little new for a gas leak , but here goes. Usualluy, a gas leak begins when a component on the vehicle (usually underneath) begins to rust, and the component becomes porous. If you live in the 'rust belt', it might be normal to find a fuel tank is leaking, the fuel line(s) are leaking or a unit which is attavhed to the tank (for the fuel pump and sending unit) is allowing vapours to escape. Do you drive down alot of gravel roads? Do you allow the fuel tank to run near empty alot,? does your vehicle sit alot? The way you treat your car can affect the way it ages. I would take it to your mechanic and have him check it out.........the whole system for integrity, if your gas lines are leaking, then how are your brake lines...... .......John from London, Ont.
