This cross would be called a POA, Pony of the Americas. The breed was developed accidentally when a breeder from Iowa crossed an Appalooa stallion with an Arabian/Shetland mare. The product of this accident has the Appaloosa color with a refined head and sturdy build. The required height for these large ponies is 11-13 hands. FYI:Hand is the standard measurement for horses. 1 hand =4 inches.
What would be a good title for the Appaloosa
Firstly a stallion is an uncastrated male of any breed of horse. Next, Palomino is a color and not a breed, palomino coloring can occur in any breed with the cream gene. Now out of the three actual breeds, Mustang, Shetland, and Appaloosa, the Appaloosa would be the must popular in terms of numbers alone. However many people would favor the Mustang just because it is a symbol of freedom, power and the old west.
An AraAppaloosa (Arabian / Appaloosa cross) can be registered with it's breed association, the AraAppaloosa Foundation Breeder's International. They do not have a website, so you would have to write to them or call. Also if the horse is a first generation crass between the two breeds, you could possibly register it as a half Arabian with the Arabian Horse Association. The Appaloosa Horse Club may also offer some sort of 'appendix' registry for this cross.
Yes - if they did not there would be no more Shetland ponies.
You can't take a train directly from the Shetland Islands to London. You can't even fly directly between Shetland and London. You could travel by boat from Shetland to Aberdeen and then take a train or fly from there to London or you could fly from Shetland to Edinburgh and either fly or take a train from Edinburgh to London.
Its hard to really answer this question, its more of an opinion based one, therefore it all comes down to personal preference
Shetland Islands
I would think Hay and grass.
i would get a shetland sheep dog
The same as any other horse. I have an appaloosa and she walks, trots, and canters the same way any other horse would.
It would totally depend on the genetics of the Appaloosa and whether they were homozygous or heterozygous for certain things. wtf kinda question is this?!?!?!?!!?!?
Sorry, I'm not really sure. What is a hidden cave? Does it have something to do with World Adventures? If it does, I doubt there would be one in Appaloosa Plains.
