All that I can say is the Iver Johnson Model 1900 was made from 1900-1941.The Model 1900 Target small frame from 1925-1928,and the large frame model 1900 Target from 1921-1941.I do not know if Iver Johnson kept records of serial number by year? With a serial number that low,I would safely assume that it was made in the first 4 years of production.1900-1904.

Not a lot of info available on the individual models Iver Johnson manufactured. The company began in 1871 as Johnson Bye & Co.. About 1883 the name of the company changed to Iver Johnson & Co.. In 1891 the name was changed to Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works. Iver Johnson produced firearms under various names and owners form 1871 until 1993. It's]reputation was for low cost, reliable products. Little to no collector interest. Values rarely exceed 100 or so. FYI, serial numbers were not required prior to 1968. I've been looking all over for an Iver Johnson's M1 Carbine Enforcer. If you would be interested in selling yours, please contact: admin@barbil.com Thanks!
Absolutely. Lou Imperato was the reason Colt got back into the black powder handgun business. He was a large Colt distributor and had also purchased Iver Johnson Arms, and he convinced Colt to import rough case frames and major parts from Italy and complete manufacture was done at the Iver Johnson factory. All F-series Colt Black Powder revolvers were manufactured at Iver Johnson.
