Well, their first album came out in 2005, but theoretically, the've been around since Ryan Ross and Spencer Smith were about twelve (but back then, they were called Pet Salamander and obviously weren't under a label).

∙ 9y agoPanic! At the Disco has not broken up as of September 2014. In 2008, guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker left the group and formed The Young Veins, leaving lead singer Brendon Urie and drummer Spencer Smith to carry on the group as a duo. In 2010 they recruited Dallon Weekes on bass.

∙ 13y agoPanic started out being Ryan Ross and Spencer Smith, then they added Brent Wilson and Brendon Urie. Later, Brent was kicked out and Jonwalker added. Then in 2009, Ryan Ross and Jon Walker left to become The Young Veins.

∙ 14y agoThe band was officially formed in late 2004 but only really became famous in 2005. Ryan got his first guitar at age 12 as did Spencer his first drum kit
