"Getting your ears lowered" is a common slang term used in the English language for getting a haircut. Someone may say, "Did you get your ears lowered?" or, "I got my ears lowered yesterday." The term originates from the appearance of a larger distance between your ears and the ends of your hair when your hair is cut shorter, resulting in the illusion that your ears are lowered.

I think you heard it wrong. There is a phrase "wet behing the ears," which means a novice at something, but nothing about writing behind the ears.
