Ligaments are found between bones, attaching bone to bone. They are made of connective tissue. They are found in the skeletal system.
Ligements are the tissues that attach bones to other bones. Not to be confused with tendons, which attach muscle to bone.
They both have at least one end that joins to a bone. They are both non stretchy and tough.
Essentially bones are articulated levers joined to each other by ligamets. The tendons provide structure and direction while muscles provide the power to activate the levers
